BECOME A WORLD THINKER

Travelosopher, Brannon Gerling

A travelosopher is someone who travels the world for wisdom, but ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu might disagree. "The sage knows without traveling," he says, and he's been right for 2500 years.

Travelosphers, then, might not know more, but they do think differently, and different is better than good when it comes to creative working and living steeped in logic, empathy, and joy for creative differences.

There will always be challenges anywhere—of learning lessons, giving thanks, drawing lines—no doubt. But if you've ever felt that you'd never make it to your ancestral homeland, smell the frangipani in Bali, or reach some far-out adventureland, you ought to give it a twirl.

Only you can make your adventure dreams come true. Start by reading my feature in Vacations & Travel, "Becoming a World Traveller," and let's get out there!
